Start with the scope, not a national average

A useful estimate depends on the actual bathroom. HomeForLonger does not yet publish verified national pricing. A local site visit and written scope will give your family a better starting point.

What to ask the quote to include

Ask for demolition, disposal, plumbing, waterproofing, floor preparation, fixtures, doors, support blocking, labor, permits, and cleanup to be listed clearly.

Compare equivalent proposals

Check that each quote covers the same work and materials. Ask how unexpected damage is handled, what change orders require, and what the warranty excludes.

Plan for everyday life during the project

Discuss access to another bathroom, interruptions, and the work schedule. A lower price is only useful when you understand what it buys.
